Tried and tested vegetarian recipes
Vegetarian curry recipes compiled from near and far around the web.
This came about because I kept being asked for recipes after cooking for my friends, and there's only so many times you can write a recipe out without getting wrist ache.
All recipes are vegetarian.
Dals - lentil soups
There is a section entirely for dals (daal/dhal), which is my absolute favourite. No plate of curry or thali, is complete in my opinion without a dal.
Dal is a collective term for pulses—lentils, peas, and beans. if you have never tried a dal, you're missing out! It's the Indian version of comfort food; smooth, creamy, filling, high protein, low fat... and if you like a spicy kick, then try a dal tadka. Tadka is a is a core technique in Indian cooking that involves blooming whole spices (and sometimes other ingredients) in oil to extract their aromas and fat-soluble flavours., and stirred into the dal soup right at the end before serving. It is divine.
Non-curry/Other
There is also a section for non-curry recipes also, 'cos sometimes I like something so much it needs saving.
